Chalcurb®, Ashitaba Extract

Chalcurb is a branded ashitaba ingredient associated with Angelica keiskei. The supporting supplier specification describes a powder of ashitaba sap. This preparation should be distinguished from ordinary leaf powder or another extract of the same botanical.

The documented specification sets total chalcones at not less than 8.0% by HPLC. Its identity test detects xanthoangelol and 4-hydroxyderricin. A total chalcone result does not establish the individual concentration of each compound.

The sheet also specifies loss on drying not exceeding 8.0%, together with microbiological and heavy-metal requirements. These are acceptance limits for the documented material rather than analytical results for every shipment. The assay method and reporting basis should remain attached to the figures.
