Zinc Sulfate Heptahydrate

Category: Mineral Chelates & Salts

Zinc sulfate heptahydrate is an inorganic zinc salt crystallised with seven molecules of water, historically known as white vitriol, supplied by Nustras as colourless to white crystals or crystalline powder. It is a highly water-soluble source of the essential trace mineral zinc for nutritional, feed and agricultural use.

It is formulated into zinc and multimineral supplements, oral solutions and nutritional premixes, and is used in pharmaceutical preparations. It is also a standard zinc source in animal feed premixes and in fertilisers and foliar sprays.

The material is a colourless to white, odourless crystalline powder, freely soluble in water. CAS number 7446-20-0, molecular formula H14O11SZn, molecular weight 287.6. Zinc content is determined by complexometric titration and identity by tests for zinc and sulfate, standardised to specification; heavy-metal and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.

Nustras supplies zinc sulfate heptahydrate in bulk commercial quantities, in food-grade bags and fibre drums, to manufacturers and formulators internationally, with a certificate of analysis, specification sheet and country-of-origin documentation on every lot. Zinc sulfate is a permitted mineral source in major supplement, food and feed markets; buyers confirm the elemental-zinc contribution, grade and permitted level for their application.
