Zinc L-monomethionine is a highly bioavailable zinc amino-acid complex in which elemental zinc is bonded to the amino acid L-methionine. This methionine-zinc bond is absorbed and retained more efficiently than inorganic zinc salts, which is why it is a preferred zinc source in premium supplements, where the branded reference form is OptiZinc.
It is formulated into dietary supplements and multivitamin and mineral products for immune support, antioxidant defence, skin health and reproductive health, and is used in sports nutrition, clinical nutrition and animal-nutrition premixes. It is supplied as a free-flowing powder suited to capsules, tablets and sachets.
Zinc L-monomethionine provides not less than 19% zinc on a dried basis. It carries CAS 40816-51-1, the molecular formula C10H20N2O4S2Zn and a molecular weight of approximately 361.8, and appears as a white to off-white powder. Loss on drying, heavy-metal and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.
Nustras supplies zinc L-monomethionine in bulk commercial quantities, in fibre drums or lined cartons, to manufacturers and formulators internationally, with a certificate of analysis, specification sheet and country-of-origin documentation on every lot. Zinc (as zinc methionine) is a permitted mineral medicinal ingredient under the NNHPD mineral monographs and a recognised zinc source in major supplement markets; buyers confirm the elemental-zinc contribution and upper limits for their formula.
