Zinc L-arginate is a mineral amino acid chelate in which zinc is bound to the amino acid L-arginine, supplied by Nustras as a powder and used as a source of the trace mineral zinc in dietary supplements and fortified foods. Zinc is an essential trace element and a cofactor for a large number of enzymes; the chelate is declared as zinc arginate and contributes L-arginine as well as zinc.
It is formulated into mineral and multimineral supplements, capsules, tablets and powdered blends, into sports-nutrition and amino-acid products, into fortified foods and beverages, and into nutritional premixes.
The material is a powder. Zinc content is standardised to specification and determined by atomic absorption or ICP spectrometry, with L-arginine content and chelate identity confirmed by appropriate methods; heavy-metal and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.
Nustras supplies zinc L-arginate in bulk commercial quantities, in food-grade bags and fibre drums, to manufacturers and formulators internationally, with a certificate of analysis, specification sheet and country-of-origin documentation on every lot. Zinc is a permitted mineral in major supplement and food markets; buyers confirm the elemental-zinc contribution and the permitted form and level for their application.
