Zinc glycinate sulphate, also called zinc glycine sulphate, is a mineral complex in which zinc is coordinated with the amino acid glycine together with sulphate, supplied by Nustras as a powder and used as a source of the trace mineral zinc. Zinc is an essential trace element and a structural component of many enzymes.
It is formulated into mineral and multimineral supplements, capsules, tablets and powdered blends, fortified foods and beverages, vitamin-mineral premixes and animal-nutrition premixes where a glycine-complexed zinc source is specified in place of a plain inorganic zinc salt.
The material is a fine powder. Zinc content, glycine content, sulphate content and loss on drying are standardised to specification; identity and zinc assay are confirmed by complexometric titration or inductively coupled plasma spectroscopy, and heavy-metal and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.
Nustras supplies zinc glycinate sulphate in bulk commercial quantities, in food-grade bags and fibre drums, to manufacturers and formulators internationally, with a certificate of analysis, specification sheet and country-of-origin documentation on every lot. Zinc is a permitted mineral nutrient in major supplement, food and feed markets; buyers confirm the elemental-zinc contribution, the permitted source form and the permitted level for their application.
