Vanadium glycinate is a chelate of the trace element vanadium with the amino acid glycine, supplied by Nustras as a powder and used as a source of vanadium in trace-mineral nutrition products. Vanadium is a transition metal that occurs naturally at very low levels in soils, foods and in plant and animal tissues.
It is formulated into trace-mineral and multimineral supplements, capsules and tablets, sports-nutrition products and vitamin-mineral premixes where a chelated vanadium source is specified, typically at microgram dose levels and usually blended into a carrier or premix before tableting or encapsulation.
The material is a fine powder. Vanadium content, glycine content and loss on drying are standardised to specification; identity and vanadium assay are confirmed by inductively coupled plasma spectroscopy or an equivalent method, and heavy-metal and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.
Nustras supplies vanadium glycinate in bulk commercial quantities, in sealed packaging and fibre drums, to manufacturers and formulators internationally, with a certificate of analysis, specification sheet and country-of-origin documentation on every lot. Vanadium is a regulated trace mineral whose permitted sources and maximum levels differ between markets; buyers confirm the elemental-vanadium contribution, the permitted form and the permitted level for their application.
