Magnesium Amino Acid Chelate

Magnesium amino acid chelate is a mineral chelate in which magnesium is bound to amino acids, supplied by Nustras as magnesium bisglycinate (magnesium diglycinate) in powder and direct-compression granular grades and used as a magnesium source for supplements and fortification. In the bisglycinate, one magnesium ion is held by two glycine molecules.

It is formulated into magnesium and multimineral supplements in tablet, capsule and powder form, into sports-nutrition products, into vitamin and mineral premixes, and into fortified foods and beverages where an organic magnesium source is required.

The material is a white to off-white powder or granule. CAS number 14783-68-7, molecular formula C4H8MgN2O4, molecular weight 172.42.
