Cobalt glycinate

Cobalt glycinate is a chelated form of the trace mineral cobalt bonded to the amino acid glycine, supplied by Nustras as a powder primarily for animal-nutrition and specialty applications. In ruminant nutrition, cobalt is required by gut microbes to synthesise vitamin B12, and the glycine chelate supports bioavailability.

Cobalt glycinate is used in animal-nutrition premixes and feed (particularly ruminant feeds), in mineral supplementation and fortification where cobalt is required, and in specialty and industrial applications.

The material is a pink to red cobalt-glycine complex supplied to grade, with elemental-cobalt content standardised to specification. Identity, elemental-cobalt assay, heavy-metal and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.
