Chromium Chelate (Rice-Based)

Chromium chelate (rice-based) is a form of the trace mineral chromium in which chromium is bound to amino acids and peptides obtained from hydrolysed rice protein. Nustras supplies it as a powder, in a rice-based grade and a rice-HVP (hydrolysed vegetable protein) based grade, used as a plant-derived source of chromium in supplements and fortified products.

The material is a fine powder of Chinese origin. Chromium content is standardised to specification and confirmed by ICP or atomic absorption spectroscopy on each lot, with identity confirmed by an appropriate test. Heavy-metal and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.
