Calcium Pidolate

Calcium pidolate is the calcium salt of pidolic acid (L-pyroglutamic acid, a cyclised derivative of glutamic acid), supplied by Nustras as a white powder and used as an organic calcium source for supplements and fortification. Chemically it is calcium bis(5-oxo-L-prolinate).
