Calcium Orotate Monohydrate

Calcium orotate monohydrate is the calcium salt of orotic acid, a pyrimidine carboxylic acid that occurs naturally as an intermediate in nucleotide synthesis, crystallised with one molecule of water. Nustras supplies it as a white powder for use as a calcium source in dietary supplements.

It is formulated into calcium tablets and capsules; into mineral-orotate combination products with magnesium, zinc or lithium orotate; into bone-mineral formulas; and into multi-mineral blends where a calcium source other than carbonate or citrate is wanted, mainly in solid-dose formats.

Calcium orotate monohydrate is supplied as a white to off-white crystalline powder (CAS 22454-86-0, molecular formula C10H6CaN4O8, molecular weight 350.25). Calcium content, orotic acid content and loss on drying are standardised to specification; identity is confirmed by infrared spectroscopy and assay by complexometric titration and HPLC. Heavy-metal and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.

Nustras supplies calcium orotate monohydrate in bulk commercial quantities, in sealed packaging and fibre drums, to manufacturers and formulators internationally, with a certificate of analysis, specification sheet and country-of-origin documentation on every lot. The regulatory status of orotate mineral salts differs between markets; buyers confirm the permitted status, elemental-calcium contribution and level for their application.
