Calcium citrate anhydrous is the tricalcium salt of citric acid in its water-free form, supplied by Nustras as a white powder and as a micronised grade, and a widely used source of the mineral calcium for supplements, fortification and food applications. Calcium is a major mineral; the citrate salt disperses readily and has a mild, slightly acidic taste.
Calcium citrate anhydrous is formulated into calcium and multimineral supplements in tablets, capsules and powders, into nutritional premixes, and into fortified foods, dairy alternatives, beverages and powdered drink mixes, particularly where the anhydrous form is preferred for moisture-sensitive formulas.
The material is a white, odourless powder. CAS number 813-94-5, molecular formula C12H10Ca3O14, molecular weight 498.4. Identity is confirmed by infrared spectroscopy and calcium is assayed by complexometric titration; the material is standardised to specification. Heavy-metal and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.
Nustras supplies calcium citrate anhydrous in bulk commercial quantities, in food-grade bags and fibre drums, to manufacturers and formulators internationally, with a certificate of analysis, specification sheet and country-of-origin documentation on every lot. Calcium citrate is a permitted calcium source and food additive in major markets; buyers confirm the permitted level for their application. Contact us for grade, pricing per kilogram and lead time.
