Category: Mineral Chelates & Salts
Zinc bisglycinate is a chelate in which one zinc ion is bound to two molecules of the amino acid glycine. Nustras supplies it as a fine white powder in a minimum twenty-eight percent zinc grade, used as a source of the mineral zinc in dietary supplements, fortified foods and premixes.
It is formulated into zinc and multimineral tablets, capsules and powders, nutrient premixes, fortified foods and beverages, and sports nutrition products. Taste-free, micronised and direct-compression granular forms of the same chelate are available for formulations where taste or flowability matters.
The material is a white powder; CAS 14281-83-5, molecular formula C4H8N2O4Zn, molecular weight 213.5. Zinc content is standardised to specification, with identity confirmed by infrared spectroscopy and assay by complexometric titration or ICP. Heavy-metal and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.
Nustras supplies zinc bisglycinate powder in bulk commercial quantities, in sealed packaging of twenty or twenty-five kilograms net, to manufacturers and formulators internationally, with a certificate of analysis, specification sheet and country-of-origin documentation on every lot. Zinc bisglycinate is a permitted zinc source in major supplement and food markets; buyers confirm the elemental-zinc contribution, grade and permitted level for their application.
