Royal Jelly

Category: Functional Ingredients

Royal jelly is the secretion of the hypopharyngeal and mandibular glands of worker honeybees, Apis mellifera, fed to larvae and to the queen. Nustras supplies royal jelly as a dried powder standardised to its marker compound 10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid (10-H2DA) according to ISO 12824-2016, used in dietary supplements, functional foods and cosmetics.

Royal jelly powder is formulated into capsules, softgels and tablets, oral liquids and ampoules, honey blends, functional beverages, and cosmetic creams and masks. The powder is chosen over fresh royal jelly for ease of handling and storage.

Royal jelly powder is a white-yellowish powder with a characteristic odour and slightly acidic taste. Each lot is standardised to a 10-H2DA content of not less than 3.0% by HPLC per ISO 12824-2016, with reference to Ph.Eur.; microbial counts follow ISO 4833-1 and ISO 21528-2, and heavy-metal and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.

Nustras supplies royal jelly powder in bulk commercial quantities, in sealed packaging and fibre drums, to manufacturers and formulators internationally, with a certificate of analysis, specification sheet and country-of-origin documentation on every lot. Royal jelly is an accepted supplement and food ingredient in major markets; buyers confirm the permitted daily amount and allergen labelling for their application.
