PlantD™, Cholecalciferol

PlantD™ cholecalciferol is vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) obtained from a plant-derived, non-animal source, in contrast to conventional cholecalciferol made from lanolin. Nustras supplies it as a concentrated oil or as a dry, cold-water-dispersible powder for vegan and vegetarian formulations.

PlantD™ cholecalciferol is formulated into vitamin D supplements in softgel, capsule, tablet, gummy and drop form, into multivitamin and vitamin-mineral premixes, and into fortified plant-based milks, beverages and foods.

The oil grade is a clear to slightly yellow oily liquid and the powder grade is a white to yellowish free-flowing powder. Vitamin D3 potency is standardised to specification and determined by HPLC; identity is confirmed by HPLC retention against a reference, and oxidation (peroxide value), loss on drying, heavy-metal and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.
