Pea Peptides are short-chain peptides produced by controlled enzymatic hydrolysis of pea protein from Pisum sativum, supplied by Nustras as a spray-dried powder. Hydrolysis cleaves the protein into small peptides and free amino acids of lower molecular weight than intact pea protein, giving a plant-based protein ingredient that disperses readily in water.
It is formulated into sports-nutrition powders, ready-to-drink protein beverages, nutrition bars, meal replacements, protein-fortified foods, specialised nutrition products, capsules and tablets, and pet and feed applications.
The material is a light-yellow to pale-tan powder with a mild characteristic odour. Protein content is standardised to specification and assayed by the Kjeldahl or Dumas nitrogen method; degree of hydrolysis and molecular-weight distribution are determined by size-exclusion chromatography, and the amino acid profile is reported on request. Moisture, ash and solubility are reported, and heavy-metal and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.
Nustras supplies Pea Peptides in bulk commercial quantities, in food-grade bags and fibre drums, to manufacturers and formulators internationally, with a certificate of analysis, specification sheet and country-of-origin documentation on every lot. Pea protein hydrolysate is an accepted food and supplement ingredient in major markets; buyers confirm the permitted level and claim for their application.
