Monk Fruit

Monk Fruit is the fruit of the plant Siraitia grosvenorii, native to southern China and northern Thailand. It is well-known as a natural sweetener, much sweeter than sugar but with almost zero calories, due to compounds called mogrosides. Monk fruit extract is widely used as a natural, non-caloric sweetener in foods, beverages, and dietary supplements, and is favored for its clean sweet taste without the bitter aftertaste often found in other natural sweeteners.
