Lactobacillus salivarius

Lactobacillus salivarius (reclassified in 2020 as Ligilactobacillus salivarius) is a Gram-positive, facultatively anaerobic, rod-shaped lactic acid bacterium found in the mouth and intestinal tract of humans and animals, supplied by Nustras as a freeze-dried culture powder for use as a probiotic ingredient. The strain is grown by controlled fermentation, concentrated, freeze-dried and blended with a food-grade carrier.
