In-Fiber™, Partially Hydrolyzed Guar Gum

In-Fiber™ is a partially hydrolyzed guar gum (PHGG), a soluble dietary fibre obtained by controlled enzymatic hydrolysis of guar gum (E412) from the seed of Cyamopsis tetragonoloba, supplied by Nustras as a creamy-white to yellowish powder. Hydrolysis shortens the galactomannan chains so the fibre dissolves readily and adds very little viscosity.

It is formulated into fibre supplements in powder, capsule and sachet form, into fibre blends and nutritional beverages, and into functional foods such as bakery, dairy and beverage products where a taste-neutral, low-viscosity soluble fibre is required.

The material is a creamy-white to yellowish, water-soluble powder with a neutral taste. Dietary fibre content, viscosity, loss on drying and pH are standardised to specification; identity is confirmed by the compendial identification tests for guar galactomannan, and heavy-metal and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.
