Hyaluronic acid, also called hyaluronan, is a linear glycosaminoglycan polymer built from repeating units of glucuronic acid and N-acetylglucosamine, found in connective tissue, skin and synovial fluid. Nustras supplies hyaluronic acid as a powder, in a range of molecular-weight grades, used as a humectant and functional ingredient in dietary supplements, functional foods and cosmetics.
Hyaluronic acid is formulated into capsules, tablets, oral liquids, gummies and functional beverages, and into cosmetic serums, creams, masks and personal-care formulations where it acts as a moisture-binding and film-forming agent. The grade is selected for the viscosity the finished product requires.
Hyaluronic acid is a white to off-white hygroscopic powder which dissolves in water to a viscous solution. The CAS number is 9004-61-9. Each lot is standardised to specification; identity is confirmed by infrared spectroscopy and glucuronic acid content by the carbazole method, and heavy-metal and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.
Nustras supplies hyaluronic acid in bulk commercial quantities, in sealed packaging and fibre drums, to manufacturers and formulators internationally, with a certificate of analysis, specification sheet and country-of-origin documentation on every lot. Hyaluronic acid is an accepted supplement and cosmetic ingredient in major markets; buyers confirm the permitted level, grade and labelling for their application.
