Fucoidan is a sulfated polysaccharide built mainly from fucose units, extracted from the cell walls of brown seaweeds such as Fucus vesiculosus, Laminaria japonica and Undaria pinnatifida. Nustras supplies it as a light-brown to off-white powder, obtained by aqueous extraction and purification of dried seaweed, for use as a marine polysaccharide ingredient in supplements, functional foods and cosmetics.
It is formulated into capsules, tablets, softgels and powder blends, into functional beverages and food products, and into skin-care and cosmetic preparations.
The material is a light-brown to off-white powder with a mild seaweed odour. Fucoidan content is assayed by colorimetric or HPLC methods and standardised to specification, with identity confirmed by sulfate and fucose determination. Seaweed source, loss on drying, heavy-metal and microbial limits, including arsenic and iodine where required, are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot’s certificate of analysis.
Nustras supplies fucoidan in bulk commercial quantities, in sealed packaging and fibre drums, to manufacturers and formulators internationally, with a certificate of analysis, specification sheet and country-of-origin documentation on every lot. Fucoidan is accepted as a supplement and food ingredient in several major markets; buyers confirm its regulatory status, permitted level and claim for their application.
