Terpeneol Technical Grade

Terpineol, technical grade, is a monoterpene alcohol consisting mainly of alpha-terpineol with smaller amounts of its isomers, produced from pine-derived turpentine. It has a lilac-like floral odour. Nustras supplies it as a colourless to pale-yellow liquid in a technical grade intended for fragrance and industrial use.

Technical-grade terpineol is formulated into fragrances for soaps, detergents, household cleaners, air fresheners and industrial perfumery, and as an intermediate in the synthesis of terpinyl esters and other aroma chemicals. Food-flavour applications require a flavour grade; buyers confirm the grade before use.

The material is a colourless to pale-yellow, viscous liquid with a characteristic lilac odour, slightly soluble in water and miscible with alcohol. CAS number 98-55-5, molecular formula C10H18O, molecular weight 154.25. Identity and composition are confirmed by gas chromatography against the specification; refractive index, specific gravity, acid value and colour are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.

Nustras supplies technical-grade terpineol in bulk commercial quantities, in sealed drums and intermediate bulk containers, to manufacturers and formulators internationally, with a certificate of analysis, specification sheet and country-of-origin documentation on every lot. Terpineol is an accepted fragrance ingredient in major markets; buyers confirm the grade, permitted use and level for their application. Contact us for grade, pricing per kilogram and lead time.
