Caffeine is a purine alkaloid of the methylxanthine class that occurs naturally in coffee beans, tea leaves, cacao and guarana. Nustras supplies caffeine as anhydrous caffeine, a white crystalline powder made to pharmacopoeial and food-chemical grades, for use as an ingredient in beverage, supplement and pharmaceutical formulations.
Caffeine is formulated into energy drinks, soft drinks and powdered beverage mixes, into supplements in capsule, tablet and powder form, and into cosmetic and personal-care products where caffeine is specified.
The material is a white crystalline powder, odourless and bitter, with CAS number 58-08-2, molecular formula C8H10N4O2 and molecular weight 194.19, available to USP, BP and FCC grades. Identity is confirmed by infrared spectroscopy and assay by HPLC or titration against the pharmacopoeial monograph, and loss on drying, sulfated ash, related substances, heavy-metal and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.
Nustras supplies caffeine in bulk commercial quantities, in sealed packaging and fibre drums, to manufacturers and formulators internationally, with a certificate of analysis, specification sheet and country-of-origin documentation on every lot. Caffeine is a regulated ingredient in major markets, with permitted levels and labelling requirements that differ by product type and jurisdiction; buyers confirm the permitted level and claim for their application.
