Amylase is an enzyme that catalyses the hydrolysis of starch into sugars such as maltose and glucose. Nustras supplies amylase as a standardised enzyme preparation in powder form, with the enzyme type, source organism and declared activity stated on the specification sheet, for use in enzyme supplements and in food and industrial processing.
It is formulated into digestive-enzyme blends in capsules, tablets and powders, and used in baking as a dough and crumb conditioner, in brewing and distilling during mashing, in starch processing and syrup production, and in textile desizing.
The material is a free-flowing powder on a food-grade carrier; CAS 9000-92-4. Activity is expressed in enzyme units per gram and standardised to specification, with assay by a starch-hydrolysis method appropriate to the enzyme type. Heavy-metal and microbial limits, including the absence of the production organism where applicable, are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.
Nustras supplies amylase in bulk commercial quantities, in sealed moisture-barrier packaging and fibre drums, to manufacturers and formulators internationally, with a certificate of analysis, specification sheet and country-of-origin documentation on every lot. Amylase preparations are accepted food enzymes and supplement ingredients in major markets; buyers confirm the enzyme source, activity, permitted use and claim for their application.
