Alginate oligosaccharide is a low-molecular-weight carbohydrate obtained by enzymatic degradation or controlled hydrolysis of alginate, the structural polysaccharide of brown seaweed (Phaeophyceae) built from mannuronic and guluronic acid units. Nustras supplies it as a powder, made by our represented factory, for use as a functional carbohydrate ingredient in food, supplement, feed and agricultural products.
Alginate oligosaccharide is formulated into dietary supplement capsules, tablets and powders, prebiotic fibre blends, functional foods and beverages, and premixes. Outside nutrition it is used in animal feed and aquaculture additives, in agricultural biostimulant and seed-coating products.
The material is a powder, typically white to light yellow, standardised to specification for oligosaccharide content and degree of polymerisation, with identity and assay determined by HPLC or an equivalent chromatographic method. Heavy-metal, iodine and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.
Nustras supplies alginate oligosaccharide in bulk commercial quantities, in food-grade bags and fibre drums, to manufacturers and formulators internationally, with a certificate of analysis, specification sheet and country-of-origin documentation on every lot. Alginate-derived ingredients are accepted in major food and supplement markets, with the status of the oligosaccharide form varying by jurisdiction; buyers confirm the listing, permitted level and claim for their application.
