Skullcap

Skullcap, in the grade Nustras supplies, is Baikal skullcap root extract: a water extract prepared from the dried root of Scutellaria baicalensis, a perennial herb of the mint family native to East Asia, supplied as a brown-yellow fine powder. The root is a concentrated natural source of flavones, principally baicalin and baicalein; it is distinct from American skullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora).

The material is a brown-yellow fine powder with a bitter taste.
