Reishi

Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum and related red Ganoderma species) is a woody bracket mushroom with a glossy reddish cap, cultivated for the ingredient trade. The dried fruiting body is yellowish-brown to reddish-purple with a glossy surface and a bitter taste; the powder is brown. Loss on drying, ash, heavy-metal, pesticide and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.
