Red ginseng is the root of Panax ginseng that has been steamed and then dried, a process that distinguishes it from white ginseng. Nustras supplies red ginseng as a fine beige to light brown powder, including a water and ethanol extract prepared at a 20:1 ratio, for use in supplements, functional foods and beverages. The root contains ginsenosides, triterpene saponins that serve as the marker compounds.
Red ginseng powder and extract are formulated into capsules, tablets and powdered blends, and into teas, tonic drinks and confectionery.
The material is a fine beige to light brown powder with a characteristic odour. The extract ratio and ginsenoside content are standardised to specification and confirmed by HPLC on each lot, and identity is verified against the botanical reference. Loss on drying, residual solvents, heavy-metal, pesticide and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.
Nustras supplies red ginseng powder and extract in bulk commercial quantities, in food-grade bags and fibre drums, to manufacturers and formulators internationally, with a certificate of analysis, specification sheet and country-of-origin documentation on every lot. Panax ginseng is an accepted botanical supplement ingredient in major markets; buyers confirm the permitted plant part, extract ratio and claim for their application.
