Green Coffee

Green coffee is the unroasted seed of the coffee plant (Coffea arabica and Coffea canephora), processed without the roasting step. Nustras supplies green coffee as a dried bean extract powder, standardised to its chlorogenic acid content, for use as a botanical ingredient in supplements, beverages and functional foods. Chlorogenic acids are the main polyphenols of the unroasted bean; the extract also contains naturally occurring caffeine.

The material is a brown powder with a characteristic odour. Chlorogenic acid content is standardised to specification and confirmed by HPLC on each lot; caffeine content is reported on the specification sheet. Residual solvents, heavy-metal, pesticide and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.
