Agaricus is a mushroom extract obtained from Agaricus blazei Murrill, an edible basidiomycete cultivated mainly in Brazil, Japan and China. Nustras supplies it as a brown fine powder produced by water and ethanol extraction and standardised to its beta-1,3/1,6-D-glucan content, for dietary supplement manufacturing. Beta-glucans are the structural polysaccharides of the fungal cell wall and are the usual marker compounds for mushroom extracts.
Agaricus extract is formulated into mushroom supplements in capsule, tablet and powder form, into multi-mushroom blends, into functional beverages and into blended botanical formulations where a standardised fungal polysaccharide ingredient is required.
Appearance: brown fine powder. The extract is standardised to a minimum beta-1,3/1,6-D-glucan content per specification, assayed by an enzymatic or spectrophotometric method; identity is confirmed by thin-layer chromatography against a reference sample. Extraction solvent, loss on drying, heavy-metal and microbial limits are supplied to specification and confirmed on each lot's certificate of analysis.
Nustras supplies Agaricus extract in bulk commercial quantities, in sealed packaging and fibre drums, to manufacturers and formulators internationally, with a certificate of analysis, specification sheet and country-of-origin documentation on every lot. Agaricus blazei is an accepted supplement ingredient in major markets; buyers confirm the regulatory status, permitted level and claim for their application.
