DL-Alanine

DL-Alanine is a racemic mixture of the two enantiomers (D- and L- forms) of the amino acid alanine. The "DL" form contains both optical isomers in equal amounts and is commonly used in nutritional supplements, food additives, and as an intermediate in chemical synthesis.
